We Work Across Ethiopia to Empower Communities and Build Resilience

At Dadowin Foundation, we are committed to uplifting disadvantaged communities in Ethiopia by expanding access to clean water, healthcare, education, and livelihood opportunities. Our work is centered in Kaffa Zone, Southwest Ethiopia Peoples’ Regional State—particularly in Awurad Woreda, Daga Kebele— where many families face daily challenges in accessing basic needs.

We believe true transformation comes from cooperation and empowerment. Rooted in the spirit of “Dado”—meaning cooperation in the Keffa language—we partner closely with local communities to foster resilience, dignity, and hope for a sustainable future.

Unsafe Delivery Conditions

During our baseline study in Dadowin, we documented the difficult reality of where mothers are currently giving birth. The delivery room is equipped with old, worn furniture and lacks proper medical tools, creating unsafe and undignified conditions for both mothers and newborns. No mother should face the risk of unsafe delivery because of inadequate facilities. We believe that together, we can change this. With your partnership, Dadowin Foundation is committed to restoring dignity, safety, and hope for mothers and children by improving maternal healthcare facilities and resources in our community.

Where Learning Begins

We are Dadowin. While we were visiting our first baseline study, we saw classrooms like this — simple spaces where children come together to learn, dream, and grow. Yet, we also discovered that there is no kindergarten available for the youngest children in the community. Now, we are planning to start one kindergarten for the community this year — creating a strong foundation for early education. With your support, we can build the next generation by providing safe, bright, and well-equipped classrooms where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
